Lynne-WinfieldLynne Winfield has a long history of community and social activism having volunteered over the years for grassroots organizations, charities and boards. She is proud that she was a member of the Under 40 Caucus committee which founded the Good Friday Bermuda Kite Festival.

Mother of 3 children, Lynne works full time as Head of Administration & Company Secretary for an international telecommunications company. For 5 years from 2006 to 2010 she volunteered as President of Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda (CURB), a non-governmental, volunteer, racial justice advocacy organization.

She continues to act as the CURB Secretary and is Chairman of the Reconciliation Working Group and a member of the Advocacy Working Group.

Lynne has published numerous articles and opinion pieces in the Bermuda media, and presented on white privilege and structural racism at forums, dialogues, workshops and lectures in Bermuda including the African Diaspora Heritage Trail Conference.

She has also presented internationally to the Aspen Institute in Aspen, Colorado; the American University National Training Laboratory; and the WPC12 Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and in 2011 was invited to visit South Africa on a Leadership Study Tour with a group of Bermudian social justice activists. Lynne is a trained mediator using the Social Justice Mediation model.
